WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION. LAST NIGHT’S GAMES. The games played last night under the auspices of the Wairarapa Indoor Basketball Association, resulted as follows: — LADIES’ SECTION. A Grade. Hospital 5, W.F.C.A. 2. Woolworth’s 10, Rovers 0. Hugo and Shearer 10. Y.M.C.A. 8. Stock and Station 4, C. Smith’s 2. B Grade. Hosiery Mills 12, State Kitchenette 5. McKenzie’s 4, Garages 0. Graham’s 5, Catb.ies 0. MEN’S DIVISION. Reliance B 26. Reliance A 8. W.F.C.A. 12. Vesta Batteries 8. Bouzaid’s 25, State Kitchenette 12. In the ladies’ A grade Hospital showed'excellent. form to defeat the strong W.F.C.A. team, and will take a lot of beating in the competition.. Stock and Station had a very narrow call against C. Smith's. The B grade leaders, McKenzie’s, maintained their position although hard pressed by Garages, while Graham s notched a well deserved win against Cathies. With Vesta and W.F.C.A. both playing basketball of the right type,, a great game resulted and the latter thoroughly earned their win. They played the proper game and when they are at- top form there is no better team in the competition. . Reliance B are now two points .in the lead in the competition. Judging by recent form enthusiasts can expect some stirring games in the near future.
