QUESTION OF NEW ZEALAND REPRESENTATION. INTEREST IN WASHINGTON. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) WASHINGTON, July 10. Political circles have generally received with friendly interest a suggestion by a New Zealand newspaper that New Zealand should send representatives to the United States. Influential circles commented that the democracies bordering the Pacific had greater mutual interests in the face of present world conditions. They emphasised that New Zealand was the only such nation lacking direct diplomatic relations, and cited the new high commissioner connection between New Zealand and Canada as a significant trend, and also the warm welcome given here to the Australian Minister, Mr Casey.
