BOXING
FOOTE OUTPOINTS AITKEN. A ROUSING FINISH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. Some brilliant boxing on the part of Harold Foote earned him a well-merit-ed decision on points over Ralph Aitken in a professional featherweight contest in the Labour Hall. Petone. last night, under the auspices of the Hutt Valley Boxing Association. Both Wellington boys gave a fast and clever display, but Foote was always a shade superior, building up a strong lead on points, with the result that Aitken made desperate efforts to knock his opponent out in the final rounds, which were packed with incident. It was a rousing finish to a brilliant contest.
