WELLINGTON SALE. GOOD PRICES REALISED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The first rabbitskin sale of the 1940 season was held at Wellington yesterday. The quality of the skins, as is usual with the opening sale, was not of a high order, the offering comprising mostly summer grades with a per centage of stale skins. In view of the demand for rabbitskins, the sale was active. The top prices were 100 d for first bucks and 98d foi- early winter bucks, while the top line of first ferrets sold at 7s 8d to 3s. The following is the range of prices:— Small, 124 d; runners, 20d; light racks, 271 d; prime rack, 25!jd; milky, 22d; summer bucks, 25d; summer does, 23d; dawny autumns, 27Ad; second early autumns. 31a; early autumns, 35Jd; second late autumns, 35Ad: late autumns, 52d: third broken, 23d: second. broken, 29d; first broken, 40:;d; third F.S. and 8.5., 25d; second F.S. and 8.5., 30d; first F.S. and 8.5., 50Jd; hares, 181 d; spring bucks, 33d; spring does, 20:Jd; outgoing bucks. 55d; winter bucks, 61 d.
Winter does. 50d; summer weevily, 14Jd: winter weevilly, 17Td; second incoming, 63d: first incoming. 86d: second early winters, 89d: early winter bucks. 98d; outgoing bucks. 65d: outgoing does, 40d; spotted bucks, 70d; spotted does, 49d; winter bucks. 93d: winter does, 76d: first bucks, lOOd: first does.
