GREYTOWN

S.M. COURT MONTHLY SITTING YESTERDAY. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly sitting of the Magistrate's Court was held at Greytown yesterday, Mr H. Lawry, S.M., being on the Bench. Judgment by default was given for plaintiffs in the following cases: — W.F.C.A. v W. L. Brannigan, claim £32 2s; A. P. Wallis v L. James, £lO 7s 6d with costs; M. E. Haggett v Maud Workman, claim £29, with costs. Possession of tenement is to be given within seven days. R. Rewi was fined £2 with costs 10s for having an unlicensed radio set in his possession. Reginald Maurice Flood was charged with the theft of two gallons of benzine and a container. Accused was admitted to probation for three years and is not to operate a motor vehicle except for his employer. Golf Match Postponed. The match between Greytown and Featherston which was to be played on Saturday next has been postponed till July 20. Business Changes Hands. It is understood that a drapery business in Greytown has changed hands.
