“WHEN TOMORROW COMES.”

Three great names combine to produce Universal’s “When Tomorrow Comes,” which will open tonight at the Regent Theatre. The three are, Pro-ducer-Director, John M. Stahl, and stars Irene Dunne and Charles Boyer. For the past ten years Stahl’s name has been prominently listed among the great directors of the screen. His “Back Street,” “Magnifiicent Obsession, “Only Yesterday” and “Letter of Introduction,” have ranked among the best pictures of their respective years. He is recognised as one of the screen’s geniuses. Miss Dunne, since her outstanding work in “Showboat,” “Magnificent Obsession,” “Back Street,” and her more recent “Love Affair,” is one of the great feminine personalities of pictures. And Boyer, who has supplanted Valentino in the hearts of American women, now ranks as tops among the male personalities. “When Tomorrow Comes” links the players in a vital love story played against the background of the recent hurricane which devastated portions of New England. Boyer will be seen as a famous French pianist, while Miss Dunne is a waitress who meets and falls in love with him in seventy-two hours. In supporting roles will be seen Barbara O’Neil, Onslow Stevens, Nydia Westman, Fritz Feld, Nella Walker, and Greta Meyer. Features include the overseas news with latest European happenings and also the camera record of the Grand National, a bright musical novelty, and a glorious study of famous English homes.
