FIGURES FOR LAST WEEK IN JUNE. HIGH RATE OF SAFETY IN CONVOYS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 9. Mercantile losses due to enemy action in the week ended June 30 were 12 ships, comprising six British totalling 39,377 tons, three allied of 9622 tons and three neutral of 11.340 tons. The average weekly losses for the 43 weeks since the beginning of war were, British 25,000 tons, Allied 8000 tons and neutral 16,000 tons, a total of 49,000 against the present total of 51.339 tons. German mercantile losses to July amounted to approximately 877,000 tons and Italian to approximately 244,000 tons. To July 3, 27,247 British, Allied and neutral ships had been convoyed with, a loss of 40 ships, a ratio of one to 681. Neutral and Allied ships conveyed totalled 5339, with a loss of six, or one in 890.
