ARANDORA STAR
ALL GERMANS ABOARD NAZI SYMPATHISERS. STATEMENT BY MINISTER. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.20 a.m.) LONDON. July 9. The Minister of Shipping, Mr Ronald Cross, speaking in T the House of Commons said that, in accordance with the usual practice, the Arandora Star was not convoyed. The faster passenger ships proceeded independently and the slower ones were convoyed. All the Germans aboard were Nazi sympathisers. None were refugees or friendly aliens. An adequate military guard was provided. There were sufficient lifeIjelts for all.
