AT MARTINIQUE
BRITISH CRUISER PATROL NO SIGN OF ULTIMATUM. FORCES FROM ARUBA ARRIVE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) FORT DE FRANCE, (Martinique), July 9. British warships have been patrolling since July 4, but have not attempted to intervene. There is no indication of an ultimatum. Forces from Aruba have arrived. AMERICAN INTEREST QUESTION OF BLOCKADE OR OBSERVATION. (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) WASHINGTON, July 9. Mr Cordell Hull (Secretary of State) stated that the United States is observing developments in Martinique. There is some question whether the British are blockading or standing by as observers.
