WOMEN’S DIVISION

MEETING AT RANGITUMAU. COMPETITION WINNERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) Mrs D. Stuart kindly lent her home for the monthly meeting of the Rangitumau Branch of the Women s Division of the Farmer’s Union. Mrs D. James presided over a fair attendance of members. A good collection of articles for refugees was handed in, and in future members are requested to take to the meetings any article of clothing suitable for refugees. It was decided to send parcels to soldiers from the district who are in camp or overseas. Each member has been asked to contribute some article for these parcels next month. A guessing competition, was won by Mrs James. The flower competitions were won as follows: —1 bloom, Mrs Duckett .1, Miss Harvey 2. Three blooms. Miss Harvey 1. Mrs Duckett 2. The'hostesses for the afternoon were Misses J. Wilton and F. Kemble. The next meeting will be held at the resident of Miss Harvey.
