HALT CALLED IN BRITAIN FOOD MINISTER’S DICTUM. HARD LIVING AND HARD FIGHTING. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyrighti (Received Tins Day. 12.35 p.m.) LONDON. July 8. The Minister of Food (Lord Woolton) broadcasting, said: "I am stopping luxurious feeding at and restaurants. which must have drasticallycut menus. These restrictions are precautionary and do not imply a shortage. I want to build up every possible ounce of food as an emergency supply. The Germans will try to sink our ships bomb our ports and disorganise oui supplies. It is my duty to ensure that thev do not succeed on the food front. We are going to win this war. To fight hard we must live hard and live disciplined lives.” _______
