e CYCLIST KILLED. BY HIT AND RUN MOTORIST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 8. Knocked down by a hit-and-run motorist on the Great North Road tonight, a cyclist died from injuries a few minutes after the accident. The victim was Mr Norman Herbert York, aged 35, married, gardener, New Lynn. Mr York was riding toward the city with a companion, and near the Whau Bridge was struck by a motor-car travelling at high speed. He received severe injuries. The car did not stop, and the police are searching for the motorist. ,
