GERMAN CLAIMS
AIR AND NAVAL OPERATIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright! (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) BERLIN. July 7. A German High Command communique states: "A German torpedo-boat sank a 6000 ton steamer near the Isle of Wight. "Our air force continued attacks against important military objectives in the south of England, and set fire to an 8000 ton merchantman at Falmouth, and bombed a British naval formation in the North Sea, and heavily hit two destroyers, which can be regarded as total losses, seriously damaged a 10,000 ton cruiser, and also sank an armed merchantman and guardship in the English channel. “The British submarine we damaged last week subsequently sank, but its crew was rescued by a German patrol -boat and a plane. “British planes raided Germany last night and inflicted only slight damage. "Enemy raiders hit Danish fishing boats and dombed a Norwegian steamer and killed several members of the crew. “The enemy lost 10 planes yesterday. Two German pianos are missing."
