INTERESTING DEBATE LICENSE v. NO LICENSE. (“Times-Age” Special.) About 50 members of the Petone Working Men’s Club visited the South Wairarapa Working Men’s Club on Saturday. In the evening a social was held and the members of the PetonG Club Debating Circle held a debate, the subject being “License v. No License.” Messrs H. W. Feast and G. Burns also took part in the debate. Mr J. F. Thompson acted as adjudicator and gave his decision in favour of no license. Presentation to Soldier. Mr J. Duffy, who is a member of the special Railway Force, was entertained by the members of the South Wairarapa Working Men’s Club on Saturday afternoon. On behalf of the club, the president (Mr R. Gallon) presented Mr Duffy with a money belt. Personal. Mr T. Nelson is at present in the Greytown Hospital. Scouts’ Raffle. The Boy Scouts’ raffle was drawn on Saturday night at the local pictures, the winner being Miss Norma Jordan.
