FOOD POISONING
SUSPECTED IN AUCKLAND. THREE MEMBERS OF FAMILY IN HOSPITAL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Feeling unwell at a cinema theatre on Saturday evening, Geoffrey Felix, aged 19, went home in a taxi ana found his father, Walter Felix, aged 51, a carpenter, and his mother, aged 49, in a similar condition. Mrs Felix struggled to a nearby shop at Port Chevalier and telephoned a doctor and later the three were taken to hospital. Today Mr Felix and his son are reported to be progressing favourably, but the condition of Mrs Felix is only fair. It is thought that poisoning may have resulted from a tin of salmon, which formed part of the evening meal.
