Temperatures: Absolute shade maximum. 64.7 degrees, on 2nd (65.3); absolute shade minimum 23.6 degrees on 6th (27.7). Thus the range was 41.1 (37.6). Mean temperature for the month, 44 (48.9). Absolute grass minimum, 15.3 on 22nd (19.6); average grass minimum. 25.2 (31.1): average at one foot underground. 43 (46.9). Severest frost, 15.1 on night of 21st (10.8). Days of frost (grass minimum 30.4 degrees Fahr or lower), 23 (17); of shade temperature below 32 degrees F., 13 (6); of gale, 2 (4). Total rainfall, 1.28 inches on 11 days (2.74); greatest fall, 35 points on 9th (77). Total sunshine, 148.8 hours, (125); daily average, 4.9; sunniest day, 2nd. 8.7 hours (8.3); wind run, 1821 miles (1600); average. 60.7.
