Dairy farmers are also preparing for a greater cheese output at the factories in and around Carterton. Plants are being put in order for an early start and in this respect some factories expect to start operations earlier than usual. At the moment dairy farmers are faced with the problem of securing extra milk pans, but this may only be a temporary drawback. The scarcity of factory vats is another drawback at the present, but it is expected that although there is an acute shortage of material this also may be overcome. In any case the farmer is doing his best to face up to all difficulties. Basketball Dance. On Monday evening the Belvedere Basketball Club will hold a dance in the State Theatre. Holloway Street, Carterton.
