WEDDING

GOODHUE—HANDLEY. The marriage took place recently at St. Matthew's Church, Masterton, of Mima Clare, eldest daughter of Mrs and the late Mr J. Handley, Miramar, and. Clarence James, third son of Mrs T. Vose and the late Mr F. Goodhue. The officiating minister was the Ven. Archdeacon E. J. Rich, and Mr Millar Hope played the wedding music. The bride who was escorted by her uncle, Mr F. Lyall, wore a lovely gown of magnolia satin, cut on Empire lines, the neckline being finished with a posy of orange blossom and the train falling in graceful folds from rucking at the waist. The full upper sleeves were trimmed with niching, and fitted tightly from the elbow, finishing with a point over the hand. The beautiful veil was held in place by a halo of satin trimmed with seed pearls. Her bouquet was of chrysanthemums, nevines and carnations, with maidenhair and asparagus ferns. On coming out of the church she was presented with a horseshoe by little Margaret Costello. Her sister Edith, who was bridesmaid, wore a very pretty frock of pink crepe, georgette, trimmed with green, m vegingote style, her headdress being of green. Her bouquet was o£ deep pink ncrines. sweet peas, maidenhair and birch. Mr N. Cundy made an efficient best man. The wedding breakfast was held at the Prince of Wales Hotel, whore Mrs Vose. wearing a brown costume, furs and accessories, with a shoulder spray to tone and Miss J; Goodrich, aunt of the bride, who officiated in her mother's absence, wearing a deep blue suit, with navy accessories, received the guests Her shoulder spray was of red Howers. The church was decorated by Miss R. Goodrick. who also made the bouquets. The wedding cake was beautifully decorated in pink by Mrs J. Shaw. Mr and Mrs Goodhue later left by car for the north amid Hie good wishes of their friends, the bride travelling in a coral pink costume, with navy accessories.
