ALFREDTON TALKIES
"BACHELOR MOTHER." The troubles which beset a beautiful young sales-girl who finds an abandoned baby and instantly incurs the world's suspicions are gaily treated in the delightful Ginger Rogers-David Niven picture "Bachelor Mother.” which will be shown at Alfredton tomorrow. The hilarious and brilliant comedy romance which is one of the most entertaining films of the year pictures Ginger Rogers as the foundling's discoverer on the steps of an orphan asylum. All her explanations are received with knowing smiles. The asylum heads inform the executives at the department store where she works, and thus the matter comes to the attention of Niven, the boss's son. Niven takes a personal interest in the girl’s' case, and despite Miss Rogers' frantic denials, he is convinced the baby is hers —while his own father believes that Niven is the baby's father and himself its grandfather. i
