INDOOR BASKETBALL

INTERHOUSE COMPETITION. DRAW FOR THURSDAY. The following is the draw for the Interhouse Indoor Basketball games to be played in the Y.M.C.A. on Thursday night:— Ladies’ A Grade. 7.35 p.m.: Hugo and Shearers v Hospital. 8.30 p.m.: Stock and Station v Woolworths. 8.45 p.m.: C. Smiths v Rovers. 9 p.m.: W.F.C.A. v Y.M.C.A. Ladies’ B Grade. 7 p.m.: Cathies v McKenzies. 7.20 p.m.: Hosiery v Garages. 9.15 p.m.: State Kitchenette v Grahams. Men’s Section. 7.50 p.m.: Vesta Batteries v State Kitchenette. 8.10 p.m.: W.F.C.A. v Reliance B. 9.30 p.m.: Bouzaids v Reliance A. In the ladies' A grade competition an outstanding game should be provided by Stock and Station and Woolworths. Both teams have excellent defence players as was shown when only one goal was registered in the first round game. The ladies' B grade is still a very interesting competition as the. position of the lower teams change each week. McKenzies the leading team, play good basketball and have a fairly well balanced side. Cathies and Garages are two improving teams who should show to advantage as the competition progresses. In the men’s section the return match between W.F.C.A. and Reliance B is keenly looked forward to. W.F.C.A. is the only team which has defeated the strong Reliance side. Both these teams I are playing fast spectacular basketball! and a splendid game should be seen. I
