OBITUARY
* MR A. J. CHAMBERLAIN.
The death has occurred at Bombay, Auckland district, of Mr Arthur J. Chamberlain, eldest son of the late Mr and Mrs Giles E. Chamberlain, early settlers of Masterton. The late Mr A. J. Chamberlain was 76 years of age and leaves a family of two sons and three daughters. His wife, a daughter of the late Mr Thomas Wilton, of Masterton, predeceased him some eighteen months ago. He is also survived by one brother, Mr T. G. Chamberlain, of Pownall Street, Masterton, and four sisters, Mesdames E. S. Janett (Hawke’s Bay), A. E. Dimock (Wellington), R. W. MacLaren (Martinborough) and C. M. Sykes (Upper Plain). MR NIGEL ROBINSON. The death occurred this morning at the Masterton Hospital of Mr Nigel Robinson, At the age of 77 years. The late Mr Robinson had been in ill health for some time and for the past month or so had been a patient in Masterton Hospital. Born in England, he came to New Zealand many years ago and had resided in Masterion about thirty years. For some time he was engaged in business as a milk vendor and for a shorter period he conducted a vegetable and fruit round. He had’ lived in retirement for many years.
Mr Robinson is survived by a son, Captain N. Robinson (Morrinsville) and a daughter residing in England. The funeral will take place tomorrow at 10.15 a.m. from the Chapel of Hyde’s Funeral Service Ltd., Church Street.
