TERRITORIAL FORCES
OFFICERS AND N.C.O.’S IN CAMP AT TAUHERENIKAU. TWO MONTHS’ CONTINUOUS TRAINING. Officers and n.c.o.'s of the Hawke’s Bay Regiment from Gisborne southwards went into camp at Tauherenikau Racecourse yesterday for two months’ continuous training. Twenty-three men proceeded to camp from Masterton. Altogether there are 13 officers and 101 other ranks of the Hawke’s Bay Regiment in camp, besides four officers and 16 other ranks of the Second Field Company, 15 officers and five other ranks of the New Zealand temporary staff, and a sergeant and six other ranks (signal section) of the Wellington-West Coast Regiment. This makes a total strength of 162 officers and other ranks, plus 44 members of the camp staff. Lieut. Bassett is in charge of the camp.
