Y.M.C.A.
WORK OF LADIES. A GREAT RECORD. During the past thirty years the Y.M.C.A. at Masterton has been fortunate in the support it has received from the ladies of the town and district. and the ladies' auxiliary has been noted for the excellent work it has carried out in the interests of the institution. The children’s parties, in particular, have been a feature of the efforts of the ladies of the Y.M.C.A., having provided enjoyment for hundreds of children at these gatherings, as well as being a profitable source of revenue. To attempt to mention the names of the ladies who have been prominently associated with the Y.M.C.A. during the past thirty years, would be a task beyond the space available in a newspaper for such a purpose. Suffice it to say that the spirit of the pioneer ladies of the Y.M.C.A. is being splendidly carried on today by an energetic band of ladies who fully recognise the great value the Y.M.C.A. is to the town of Masterton. The lady workers of the Y.M.C.A. have a great record behind them.
