FATAL COLLISION
GIRL DIES FROM INJURIES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.l GREYMOUTH, June 30. Riding on the bar of a bicycle returning from a dance at 2 o'clock this morning. Miss Joan Baker, aged 17, daughter of Mr and Mrs 11. Baker, Paroa, was killed when the bicycle collided with a taxi, driven by Mr Colin Spark, near the dance hall. The taxi overturned. but the driver was uninjured. The girl received a fractured skull, a broken thigh, and severe internal injuries. She died before admission to hospital.
