INVASION THREAT

INDICATION OF NAZI PLANS ASSEMBLAGE OF SMALL CRAFT. IN HARBOURS FACING BRITAIN. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) LONDON. June 29. The “Daily Mail” says that reports which are filtering to Britain from many sources suggest that Hitler is concentrating vast numbers of flat bottomed craft in Dutch, Belgian and French ports. It is suspected that the purpose of the craft, which are powered by either Diesel or petrol engines, is to transport large numbers of medium tanks and infantry to the shore of Britain under the cover of fog, darkness or a smoke-screen. The Stockholm correspondent of "The Times” says that German troops are arriving in Norway and assembling in the western fiords, where numerous small ships, including motorboats belonging to Norwegian fishermen, are also gathering. Norwegians consider the troops are preparing to embark for England. German troops in Norway are estimated to number between -150,000 and 200,000.
