MR SULLIVAN’S MISSION TO AUSTRALIA BUSY DAYS IN SYDNEY. BROADCAST ON WAR EFFORT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE, June 30. The New Zealand Minister of Supply, Mr Sullivan, has had a strenuous time since his arrival at Sydney by flying-boat last. Monday, and the conferences which started immediately were continued on the train journey to Melbourne, where the War Cabinet has been in session all the week. The Australian Press widely featured interviews with Mr Sullivan relating to New Zealand's war effort and he broadcast last night over the national network. Mr Sullivan has been entertained at lunch by the War Cabinet and his discussions with Ministers, Chiefs of Staffs, the Director of Munitions Supply Department, the Wheat Board, the Treasury, Commonwealth Bank and others, have already achieved a good measure of success.
Detailed negotiations will be continued next week and the Minister will also inspect certain industries before returning to Sydney, where other matters will be dealt with.
