TITLE BOUT. McCREADY BEATS BLOMFIELD. (By Tc'legraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND. June .30. In a contest which moved al an exceedingly fast pace and was replete with thrills, Earl McCready, Canada, retained his British Empire heavyweight. title at the Town Hall on Saturday night beating the New Zealand challenger. Sergeant-Major Lofty Blcmfield, by two falls to one. A full house, which was a record for lhe season, witnessed some -fiery exchanges. clcverely interspersed with solid and scientific wrestling. The bout ended in lhe seventh round with Blomfield a beaten, but still defiant wrestler.
