CHURCH SERVICES
The services at Knox Church tomorrow will be conducted by the Rev. John Davie. At the service at Ngahape he will be accompanied by a male quartette from the Bible Class Group. The Holy Communion will be celebrated at 8 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Church tomorrow, and at 9 a.m. at Upper Plain. Archdeacon Rich will preach both in the morning and evening at St. Matthew’s Church, and the Rev. T. V. Pearson at 7 p.m. at Kuripuni. Colonel Dry and Major Armstrong will conduct the evening service at the Salvation Army tomorrow, at 7 o’clock. Major Mahaffie will conduct the morning service, and will take for his subject, “Walking With God.” The members of the Masterton Baptist Fellowship are to be favoured witn a visit from Rev. H. E. Edridge, of the Miramar Baptist Church, tomorrow, when the weekly service will be held in the Y.M.C.A., commencing at 11 a.m. Mr Edridge is well known throughout the Dominion, having held the position of president of the Baptist denomination, and for several years past has been stationed in Wellington, at the Brooklyn and Miramar Baptist Churches. The Tuesday evening service in the Y.M.C.A. will be conducted by Rev. E. Batts, who was recently appointed to the charge of the Lower Hutt Baptist Church. Services in connection with the Lansdowne Presbyterian Church tomorrowwill be conducted by the Rev. D. McNeur at Lansdowne, Mauriceville and Opaki. At each service prayers for the British Empire will be offered. The final chart lecture will be delivered in the Gospel Hall, Ruhamah, i on Sunday, at 7 p.m., being a brief resume of the chart and a review of present world events. At the Methodist Church tomorrow, the morning service will be conducted by Rev. H. S. Kings. The subject will be “Stillness and Strength.” Mr C. R. Goudge will be the preacher at the evening service. At the evening service at Kuripuni the Rev. Kings will speak on “Three Attitudes Towards Life.”
