As Leader of All Free Frenchmen ORGANISATION OF NATIONAL COMMITTEE CHANNEL ISLANDS DEMILITARISED Great Britain, it is reported in a Daventry broadcast, has decided to give official recognition to General de Gaulle, the French officer now in London who is taking' the lead in organising the French National Committee, and is calling on all Frenchmen to continue the fight. The Ministry of Information states that recognition is being given to General de Gaulle as leader of all free Frenchmen, wherever they may be, who are rallying to him in support of the Allied cause. The Home Office states that the Channel Islands have been demilitarised. All armed forces and equipment have been removed.
