In Aid of Red Cross Funds.

It was decided at a representative meeting of settlers that a ball in aid of the Red Cross Society's funds be held in the woolshed of Mr R. Liverton, at Rewanui, on Wednesday, July 3. Y.M.C.A. Appeal. The local Y.M.C.A. campaign for funds to keep the institution functioning will be concluded next week with a dance to be held in the •Y.M-.C.A. hall on Saturday night. July 6. Special arrangements have been made for the enjoyment of patrons and it is hoped by the sponsors that the public will give generous support for a worthy cause. Owners of incubators in Masterton are asked to ring Mr R. H. Williams (telephone No. 1040). advising what incubators they possess and the capacity of the machines. This is in connection with the more production of foodstuffs campaign.
