“TELL ME THE TRUTH”
LITTLE THEATRE PRODUCTION NEXT WEEK. Even the most patriotic are sometimes forgetful, and it is therefore excusable again to remind the public of the presentation of "Tell Me The Truth” by the Little Theatre Society for patriotic purposes at the Opera House on Monday and Tuesday next. In this case, duty' and pleasure go hand in hand, for it appears certain that all who attend the performances, in addition to assisting patriotic funds, will have the benefit of entertainment oi rare value. Reports on the success of rehearsals are enthusiastic, and all the performers are reported to be admirably cast, keen and painstaking in their work, and generally efficient. The stage setting will also be most appropriate and effective, and here the society is deeply indebted to large numbers of local residents who have assisted with the loan of period furniture and other beautiful and valuable accessories. Apart from the cultural value of the society's activities, the society is doing valuable work for the community’ if it can. in these anxious times to ‘promote feelings of cheerfulness. In the production of "Tell Me The Truth." there can be no question of the society's success in this direction. It is really hilarious comedy, and the skilful presentation of it that is confidently' expected cannot fail to dispel gloom. The box plans are filling rapidly at Steele and Bull's.
