ONION FARCIES

FRIDAY’S DINNER. Par-boil 6 large onions and press out the middle, leaving a wall of about 3 layers. The centres of the onions can be served as an extra vegetable. Finish cooking them with 1 dessertspoon butter, salt, pepper, and 1 dessertspoon brown sugar.
