KNITTING POCKETS
A CLEVER DEVICE. Have you heard of the clever new “knitting pockets" France is putting on its newest models, Deep patch pockets. reaching from hipline to knee, were stitched to the skirt of a lovely little woollen frock seen the other day, the idea being that you carry wool, needles, instructions, and all. around with you wherever you go. This clever notion was put on a practical basis by another enterprising girl, who made herself a long-sleeved coat-overall in a gay, floral-patterned cotton. She stitched her deep "knitting pockets" from about seven inches below the waist-line to the top of the hern, and—here’s a bright idea! —shirred the top of each pocket with matching elastic thread so that her wool had not the slightest chance of straying. She keeps this overall for "knitting only,” slipping it on when she has half an hour to spare for a few rows.
