At Mr Cooper’s barn at Opaki on Thursday, the Opaki school children will hold a concert, which will be followed by a dance. The proceeds will be in aid of the Red Cross Fund. A dance and card tournament will be held in St. Patrick's Hall tonight at 8 o'clock, under the auspices of the Masterton Hibernian Society. The two previous functions held this season by the Society have proved most enjoyable. and it is expected that there will be a large attendance tonight. The music for the dancing will be provided by- Barnes' Rhythm Boys’ Band, and good prizes and supper will be provided.
