MALT HOUSE DESTROYED

BRIGADE SAVES BIG BREWERY BUILDINGS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN. This Day. A fire shortly after 5 o'clock this morning destroyed the malt house of the New Zealand Breweries Speight branch. Six brigades had a fierce struggle for an hour to confine the flames to this structure. They succeeded in preventing the spread of the fire to huge buildings adjacent. Inside walls collapsed and a heavy loss of malt and barley was sustained. It is as vet unassessed.
