MAURICEVILLE
PLUNKET SOCIETY ANNUAL MEETING -OF SUB-BRANCH. (“Times-Age" Special.) The annual meeting of the Mauriceville sub-branch of the Plunket Society was held in the East Hall there being only a fair attendance. The following officers were elected: President. Mrs Miller, re-elected; vice-presidents, Mesdames E. H. Dagg, C. Hodgins, 1. Cameron and A. Forsberg; secretary and treasurer, Mrs R. Dagg. As funds of the branch are low it was decided to conduct a house-to-house canvas throughout the district when it is hoped .that residents will readily respond as the Plunket Society's work is one of national importance.
Mr C. R. Judd was elected a liftmember in recognition of his very generous donation.
During afternoon tea Nurse Humphries gave an informative address on her recent refresher course at the Karitane Hospital, Dunedin. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to Mr A. O. Jones for having audited the books, to Nurse Humphries and to the chairwoman.
