WEDDING
GRAY—BRASELL.' The marriage took place on Saturday at the Methodist Church. Carterton. ot Elsa, only daughter of Mr H. and the late Mrs Brasell, and John, seventh son of Mr E. A. and the late Mrs Gray. Parkvale. The officiating minister was the Rev J. A. Daglish. The bride was escorted by her father and wore a teal blue frock with accessories to tone.
Miss N. Gray, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid, and was dressed in a London tan frock with accessories to match.
The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr M. Gray.
The reception took place in the Methodist Hall where the guests were received by an aunt of the bride and the bridegroom’s sister. Mrs Ross wore a navy ensemble and Mrs McKenna was dressed in a black ensemble with clover trimmings. The usual toast list' < was honoured.
The bridegroom's gifts to the bride i and bridesmaids were a gold mounted fountain pen and a crystal dish. The groomsman received a fountain pen. Mr and Mrs Gray later left for the north and on their return will take up their residence at Parkvale. Upon the bride entering the church she was presented with a silver horse shoe by the nephew of the bridegroom, Ralph Birkett, who was dressed in an Air Force uniform.
