"I feel that the dairy companies should attend to their own business and leave transport business to those who earn their living by their service,” observed Mr Skoglund in refusing to grant a transfer, in the form applied for from M. M. Condon to the Mauriceville Co-operative Dairy Co. Mr Skoglund stated that he could understand a company wishing to apply for a licence to collect cream, but he considered that under the transfer applied for the com-, pany could use an undue influence to obtain business by encouraging its suppliers to order supplies through the factory. Mr Skoglund added that he would grant a transfer in an amended form restricting tlie licence to the cartage of cream and the carrying of small parcels on the return journey up to half a cwt.
Dealing with the adjourned application by the company for an amendment to a goods-service licence the Authority stated that he would grant a licence subject to goods being carried only on the outward journey up to 56 lbs in weight.
