COSY THEATRE
“THE FORGOTTEN WOMAN.” “The Forgotten Woman,” with Sigrid Gurie, Donald Briggs, Eve Arden and Donnie Dunagan will be shown tonight at the Cosy Theatre Here is dynamic drama. . . . Alluring eyes haunting the man who framed her. . . . An Unscrupulous villain who was responsible for sending her to prison. . . . Marking the return to the screen of Sigrid Gurie, who has the principal feminine role in “Forgotten Woman.” Miss Gurie has a modern dramatic role, a contrast to the exotic characters in her previous screen appearances in “The Adventures of Marco Polo” and “Algiers.” The associate feature is “Hidden Power,” with Jack Holt, Gertrude Michael and Dickie Moore in the principal roles. A good drama well acted and well produced is the most popular type of entertainment on the screen today. .“Hidden Power” is outstanding in this class, because of its human quality and the virile performance of Jack Holt. Gertrude Michael, who will be remembered for her characterisation of “Sophie Lang,” returns to the screen, and the talents of these two experienced artists are combined in a story that provides tense and thrilling situations. The “Lone Ranger Rides Again” (episode 7) and "Buck Rodgers” (final episode), will be shown at the Saturday matinee.
