‘■MIDNIGHT.” The biggest collection of stars to be seen in any one picture for several years makes up the cast of "Midnight,’ Paramount’s gay new comedy which will be shown at Alfredton on Thursday. commencing at 7.30 p.m. Headed by’ Claudette Colbert and Don Amecbe. the stars of the production, it includes John Barrymore, Francis Lederer, Mary Astor, Elaine Barrie, Hedda Hopper and Rex O’Malley, thus more than justifying the current Hollywood wisecrack: "Midnight brings out the stars! The story of "Midnight" plots the escapades of a beautiful young American girl whom a Paris business-man hires to steal his wife's sweetheart and restore his previously happy marriage. Miss Colbert, of course, is the American, Barrymore her protector. Miss Astor the wife, and Lederer the “other man." Amechc. who now appears with Miss Colbert for the first time, plays a charming taxi-driver who complicates matters for the adventuress. Excellent supports include Metrotone News.
