RETURNED SOLDIERS MONTHLY MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. (“Times-Age" Special.) The monthly meeting of the executive of the Eketahuna Returned Soldiers’ Association was held last night when Mr M. Morris presided over the following members. Messrs S. Daniell, W. Shannon. Tredray, C. Cooper, W. Pryde, A. Golden. W. Hornblow, W. Bawycr, L. Russell. McLaughlin. A. Chambers and the secretary, Mr M. Shale. Apologies for absence were recevied from Messrs T. Hancock and A. B. Fordyce. Accounts amounting to £1 Ils 8d were passed for payment. It was decided to send a letter of congratulation to Mr Wilshire on the success of his oog in winning the N.Z. Championship at Hamilton. A report was presented in respect to the entry of an R.S.A. baby in the baby carnival. The secretary was instructed to procure prices for a flag and to submit same at the next meeting. It was decided to hold meetings of the executive at 7.30 p.m. in future. It was decided to extend a complimentary social to the secretary, on July 9. FIRE BRIGADE CAMPAIGN ENJOYABLE EUCHRE PARTY. The Fire Brigade opened its carnival campaign with a euchre party last night. Despite the wet weather the attendance was very good, and an enjoyable time was spent by all. The -prize winners were: Ladies, Miss Bourke; men, Mrs Ben Bradley. A tasty supper was provided by the ladies’ committee.
