The British United Press Rome correspondent says it is authoritatively stated that Blackshirt infantry and native troops have penetrated British and French Somaliland. They are reported to be striking towards Jibuti. Dispatches' from Addis Ababa claim that Italian planes bombed military objectives around Aden. A 8.8. C. observer, broadcasting from the Near East, says the R.A.F. early this morning very successfully bombed Italian bases in Libya and Italian East Africa. “We caught this new enemy napping. We set fire to aerodromes, bombers and ammunition dumps and caused severe damage. Anti-aircraft guns and Italian fighters opposed our long-range Blenheim planes, of which three have not returned.”
