(Received This Dav. 11.10 a.m.) RUGBY, June 11. South African defence policy has taken into account the danger of enemy air bases being established north of the equator for attacks c-n the Union and timely steps have been taken to co-ordinate the Dominion's defence policy with that of its British neighbours. It is the Union. Government's declared policy to extend operations if necessary as far as Kenya and Tanganyika. Union nationals, both British and African speaking, have volunteered in large numbers for service anywhere in Africa.
