RUN AGROUND
TWO INTERCEPiED VESSELS. SOUTH AFRICAN AUTHORITIES ACTIVE. (Received This Day, 9.40 a.m.) CAPETOWN, June 11. The authorities seized the Italian ship Sistiana lying in Table Bay. Two others, the Gerusalemme and Timavo, which departed from Durban on Monday were deliberately run aground, on the African coast when they sighted an armed merchant cruiser and a South African air force plane.
