BUTTONS & NEEDLES

AN APPEAL FOR DONATIONS. The Masterton Women’s Patriotic Committee appeals for the donation of buttons and needles for completing 470 hussifs made for the New Zealand forces overseas. About 5000 buttons are required, including trouser, shirt and large four-eyed mother-of-pearl buttons and if procurable, bachelor buttons. Darning needles, sewing needles with big eyes and safety pins are also required. Donations may be left at the Women’s Rest Room, Dixon Street, not later than Monday.
