COMPANY RETURNS.
Gillespies Beach dredge reports a return of 40 ounces from 16,880 cubic yards worked in 132 hours. Blackwater Mines, Ltd., has issued the following review of development work carried out during May: No. 11
level north advanced 27ft, of which ' 21ft exposed reef averaging 4Jdwt in ,v)alue and 13in in width. No. 13 level ’jiorth advanced 46ft on reef averaging - 17dwt in value and 31in in width. No. 12 winze at 155 advanced 14ft on reef averaging 33dwt in value and Ilin in width. No. 13 winze at 1300 advanced sft on reef averaging 13dwt in value and 31in in width. The Okarito Five Mile Beach Gold Dredging Company, Ltd., reports a washup of 9oz in 121 hours. The Clutha River Dredge at Alexandra worked 130 hours for 58oz of gold.
