HITLER BOASTS
MESSAGES TO KING OF ITALY AND MUSSOLINI.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, June 10. Hitler telegraphed to the King of Italy: “Providence willed that against our intentions v/e should be compelled to defend the freedom and future of our peoples against England and France. V/e are sure of victory, after which the vital rights of our nations will be secure for all time.” Hitler sent a lengthy and cordial telegram to Mussolini, assuring him of their “indissoluble community in arms.” Herr von Ribbentrop (German Foreign Minister) issued a statement that Germany was jubilant to hear that Italy had decided of her own free will to join Germany. “Only after victory.” he said, “will a happy future be possible. Victory is guaranteed by the indomitable might of our peoples, and the great friendship of our leaders.”
