ORDER OF DRUIDS

STONEHENGE LODGE. INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS. The half yearly meeting and installation of officers was held in the Foresters' Hall last evening, the A.D., Bro A. G. Swinn presiding over a large attendance. Visitors were present from Totara Lodge and were given a hearty lodge welcome. The District President, Bro A. Stretton, who was present was received with lodge honours. The secretary reported that fourteen members were on the sick benefit of the lodge, and favourable reports on their progress were received. The presentation of a P.A. diploma and collar to Bro N. F. Keightley, in recognition of his services to the lodge, was made by the District President on behalf of the officers and members of Stonehenge Lodge No 1. The installation of the newly elected officers of Stonehenge Lodge was carried out in true Druidic stylo by the District President. Bro A. Stretton. The District President, in his address to the officers, referred to their various duties and wished them success during their term of office. The officers returned thanks to the lodge for their election.

The social committee reported on various activities connected with the Lodge, stating that arrangements were well in hand for the Ladies’ Night o:\ - Monday. July 8.

The A.D. reported on a recent visit' to Totara Lodge and stated that an en--joyable time had been spent. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £l7 2s 4d were passed for payment.

The A.D. extended a welcome to Bro Casey, who recently took up his residence in Masterton. and to Bro A. W. Pike, who has been absent on account of illness during the past six months. At the conclusion of lodge business an enjoyable social was held.
