THE CHOICE IS EASY
FOUNDATION PROBLEMS. How difficult it always was to make up one's mind whether to choose a one-piece or a two-piece foundation. Evening foundations never presented this problem —the controlette lias always been a “must.” Day time frocks often left the decision in doubt. But the question is more easily settled today. When in doubt, make it a onepiece is a pretty good motto to follow; for tbe one-piece controlette, with its smooth, flowing and unbroken lines right through the waist, has no rival for the young, rib-moulding silhouette that i,s the thing today. The new “long torso,” beltless and fitted from bust 'to thigh, and the “pierette” silhouette with the same spotlighting of the waist area, call definitely for the unbroken line, a noticeable division at the waist beneath either would entirely ruin the whole charming effect. Of course, so-called difficult figures are sometimes more efficiently and comfortably controlled with a lacing corset or wrapon worn with a deep-fit-ting brassiere, and must, therefore, give preference to the one-piece control. But even this does not hold true as' .widely as before. The introduction of skintex and its fabric boning has solved a great many of the difficult figure problems. The use of skintex in the back of the foundation or the waistline panels gives the freedom, of movement in a controlette, for whicn a two-piece garment used to be chosen.
