WEDDING
ADCOCK—CARLE. VIEUX ROSE CHOSEN BY BRIDE. St. George’s Chapel at St. Matthew’s Church, was beautifully decorated with Iceland poppies and masses of hydrangea and chrysanthemums for the quiet wedding in Masterton on Saturday afternoon of Gwendoline Mary, fourth daughter of Mrs R. Latham. Masterton, and the late Mr H. VZ. Carle, to Harry Frederick, only son of Mr and Mrs F. J. Adcock, Opaki Road, Mastertcn. The Ven. Archdeacon E. J. Rich officiated and Mr Miller Hope presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by Mr R. Latham, was attired in a Vieux rose frock with hat and muff to match, with a shoulder spray and posy on the muff of pink carnations, heather and maidenhair fern.
Mrs E. R. Jenkins (sister of the bride) was matron-of-honour, and wore a mauve frock, with hat to tone and a shoulder spray of mauve heather and pink carnations. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr E. R. Jenkins. Mrs R. Latham, gowned in black and white, and Mrs F. J. Adcock, who wore a navy ensemble, received the guests at the residence of Mrs E. R. Jenkins, College Street. Congratulatory telegrams were received from all parts of the Dominion.
Mr and Mrs H. F. Adcock will take up their residence in Masterton.
